Blue and White Basket Ball Team Doing Great Work On Its Trip
HUNTINGTON, W. VA., Jan 22 -- The visiting State University five overwhelmed the Marshall College opponents of the basketball game by a score of 46 to 6 on the floor of the college gym last night. Tom Zerfoss, one of State's forwards, did the stellar work of the evening, throwing eleven goals from the field. Preston, the university center, made four out of six free thrown, and five field goals; Morgan two field goals; Tuttle, one; Scott, two; Noble and Calihan each made one field goal for Marshall and Calihan made two free throws.
Coach Alpha Brumage's message says: "The men are in fine condition. Thus far only four field goals scored on us; we will strike hard going from now on."
