Wildcats Win Over Tennessee
LAVIN LEADS IN FIGHT
Kentucky's Wildcats failed to "turn the other cheek" Friday night when they outplayed the team of the University of Tennessee in every stage of the basket ball game on the gymnasium floor of the University of Kentucky, winning by a score of 30 to 14.
Kentucky's class was shown during the game in a more vivid fashion than the score would indicate. From the sound of the whistle beginning play, the Wildcats started with a rush that could not be checked and continued to stay out in front during the entire contest.
The game throughout was hard fought, both teams giving an exhibition of team play and passing that is the best ever seen on the local floor. Only on goal shooting did the Wildcats give any evidence of weakness. Had one half the attempts made for goals been successful Kentucky's score would have been well over 50. Tennessee on the other hand played a defensive game throughout the early advantage gained by the Wildcats be the cause of this.
Lavin, at forward for the Wildcats, shone the brightest of both teams. Guarding, passing, goal shooting doing more than his share of the team play gave him the laurels despite his being the smallest man on the floor. Reeder and Bell did the best work for Tennessee threatening the game at all stages by their sensational long shots. Dishman was next to Lavin on the Wildcat team playing in a fashion that was worthy of anyone.
By the victory Friday night Kentucky evened the standing between the two teams for the season the Wildcats being defeated on the floor of the Tennessee aggregation by a score of 46 to 22.

WILDCATS WIN
The Wildcats came back Friday night when they tendered their respects to the University of Tennessee team to a score of 30 to 14.
Kentucky fans were delighted to see their team outplaying the visitors in any part of the floor and in every part of the game. Every Wildcat was in top form and the old jinx that has been pushing Wildcat balls out of the basket was not in attendance. By far the best exhibition of the game, however, was the perfect teamwork and brilliant passing of the Kentuckians.
Lavin, the Paris boy, shone in unusual light during the game and won the premier place of the game. His goal shooting, passing and evading was the enigma of the visitors. Long shots were the forte of Reeder and Bell, of the visiting team, and their attempts provided the usual thrills. They are Tennessee's best.
Kentucky is satisfied with the season as far as Tennessee is concerned, for the score is even. In the first game, played on Tennessee's floor, the Wildcats were drubbed by a score of 46 to 22.
