Obituary - BURNHAM, Lexington Herald Leader (February 11, 1985)
Lawrence S. (Larry) Burnham, a native of Paducah, formerly of Lexington, died Saturday in Paducah. He was the son of the late Edward S. and Lillie Schotta Burnham. He was a retired Woolworth's Company Manager, and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he was a four-year letterman and a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite Order, the Oleika Temple, and the Lexington Lion's Club. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors are a neice, Mrs. W.J. (Jane) Jones; a nephew, Edward Burnham, both of Paducah; several great-nephews, nieces, and great-great nephews; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. J.P. Orr, Lexington. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lexington Cemetery by Rev. Mark Gibbons and Rev. Charles Cooper. Casketbearers will be Maurice Bement, Arch Hagan, Earl Crouch, Wallace Hagan, Edward Burnham and Burnham Jones. Friends may call today at the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway from 3-5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
