Obituary - Simpson's Leader-Times [Kittanning, PA] (November 22, 1966)

WEEHAWKEN, NJ (UPI) - Services for Matthew (Matty) Begovich, 56, one of the St. John's University "Wonder Five" basketball team from 1929 to 1931, will be conducted Friday at the Leber Funeral Home, Union City, N.J.

Begovich, who gained prominence here as a basketball official and a Republican councilman, died Sunday in Miami Beach. He had suffered a heart attack Labor Day weekend and was recuperating in Florida.
