Bogans keys Kentucky past Tulane 76-60
NEW ORLEANS - Kentucky senior Keith Bogans scored 21 points, including 5-of-5 on three-pointers, and added a career-best six steals to lead the Cats past Tulane 76-60 Tuesday night.
"Keith Bogans was fantastic," said Tulane coach Shawn Finney, a former UK assistant coach.
Bogans scored 17 of his 21 points as UK built a 19-point halftime lead before cruising home with its fifth victory in six games this year. Jules Camara scored 12 points and Marquis Estill and Gerald Fitch added 10 apiece. Chuck Hayes had 10 rebounds.
The win was the fourth straight for Kentucky as the Cats prepare to host Michigan State at Rupp Arena as part of a killer December that includes four straight marquee Saturday games. UK won at North Carolina last Saturday and meets Michigan State this weekend before facing undefeated Indiana on Dec. 21 and rival Louisville on Dec. 28. The last two games are at Freedom Hall in Louisville.
