University Five Trims Wesleyan, While Transy Wins Hot Game from Tigers
Kentucky Wesleyan College did not score a field goal until the last two minutes of play in its contest with the University of Kentucky in the Wildcat gym last night. "Lucky" shots hit the spot that counts twice in those last few seconds, bringing the total of Wesleyan tallies to 13, with the Wildcats credited on the scorebook for 43.
The girl's team of the University was handed the cup of defeat by the feminine representation from the Winchester institution in the preliminary bout, 18 to 14.
Miss Margaret Harbison, of Lexington, must be given the honors in the girl's contest. She pluckily remained in the lineup after having received a heavy jolt on the eye, causing it to swell up almost beyond recognition.

Whole Scrub Team Goes in Toward Last - Winchester Girls Defeat Kittens 18 to 14.
University of Kentucky girls basket ball team lost to Kentucky Wesleyan at the University gymnasium Saturday night, but the Kentucky boys took revenge in a determined way in the second event of the double header.
Not only did the Wildcats defeat the Methodists, but the Polecats as well, for the entire scrub team was put in before the end of the game and outpointed the visitors.
The Lexington girls were defeated 18 to 14. The men's team won 43 to 13 and had their opponents running around in circles trying to figure out where the ball had gone. Usually it had landed in the net for another marker. Wesleyan made only two field goals during the entire game and both of them were right at the close of the gruesome performance. The score at the end of the first half was 27 to 3. Blakey and Hayden played the same sensational game they usually put out, and Captain Everett was right in making goals.
Miss Porter, forward for the Wild Tabbies, led in scoring with 10 points, and the same number was made by Miss Connelly for Wesleyan. The Kentuckians were handicapped by the inability of two of their bet players, Misses Cromwell and Young, to play of a recent illness.
