Weiler, Richard G.
Richard G. Weiler, Ret. Lt. CFD, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Apr. 15, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He shared his life for 61 years with his devoted and loving wife the late Eva; loving father of Scott (Karen) Weiler, Lynn (Thomas) North, Todd Weiler, Chad (Mary) Weiler, Genna (John) Reilly; and father-in-law of Janet Weiler; proud grandfather of Kevin Bryan, Scott, Amy, Emily, Sarah, Carli, Alexa, Mitchel, Daniel, Richard, Michael and Emma; devoted son of the late Otto and Josephine Weiler; cherished brother of Cecilia (Paul) Walker, Robert (Charlotte) Weiler and the late Eugene Weiler. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews Richard is also retired from the Cook County Sheriff's Department and a retired Big Ten referee. Member of the American legion Gold Star Post #1102 and the Elks Lodge #2254.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012, 9:45 a.m. until the Memorial Mass 11 a.m. at St. Linus Church located at 10300 S. Lawler Ave., Oak Lawn, 60453. Private interment at St. Mary Cemetery.
