Season Review - A Review of Basket Ball (Kentuckian)
Basket Ball is still in its infancy at State. Comparing the schedule of the past season with the one a few years before, it does not seem a difficult task to predict the future of basket ball.
Our team played fifteen games and while we did not win them all, still the teams played show in what class we are.
Coming as it does, directly after the football season, and just before the baseball and track season, there is nothing to prevent basket ball from being the leading winter sport of the College. And when basket ball reaches this place at State College, it has then come into its own.
Basket ball is a representative amateur game, and with our splendid gymnasium, State should easily have a championship team.
Every man will be back next year and with such prospects as these, together with a successful coach, State will indeed make a record by capturing the basket ball championship, as we have done so many times in football and baseball.
The team has played a hard schedule, and has played it well. The boys even enjoyed the "luxury" (?) of a week's trip through Indiana and Ohio, not to forget several trips in an immediate vicinity.
With the past season as a page in our athletic history; with the entire team back, and with a coach, never fear for the team of next year.
