Obituary - Stanley T. Baer, Kentucky Alumnus
An outstanding athlete while at the University, Mr. Baer earned letters in football, baseball and basketball and was All-Southern end in 1906. He was a member of Sigma Nu social fraternity, Tau Beta Pi and was editor of the college monthly and annual.
Following graduation from the University he worked in Kentucky and Louisiana before going to Idaho. He was first assistant commissioner of reclamation for the state of Idaho from 1919 to 1921, then assistant manager and secretary-treasurer of the Big Wood Canal Company, Reichfield, until March 1, 1925, when he became manager and secretary-treasurer. In April 1932 he became manager of the American Falls Reservoir District No. 2., which position he held at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edith Coates Keefer Baer; one daughter, two sons, two step-daughters and seven grandchildren. Two brothers, both of Louisville, also survive.
Funeral services were held March 23 at the Masonic Hall in Shoshone, the Rt. Rev. Frank Rhea, Boise, Episcopal bishop of Idaho, conducting the services.
