D.C. Cruise
D.C. Cruise, 84, of 121 Clay Avenue, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday at his home.
He was a native of Centerville, Ala., and attended Howard College in Birmingham, Ala. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He was a field underwriter for Mutual of New York for almost 40 years. Prior to his work in the insurance business he was secretary of the YMCA. He had worked at the Birmingham Ala., YMCA before coming to Lexington.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Davis Cruise; a son, Clayton Cruise, Lexington; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Cruise Whittle, Montgomery, Ala.; five grandchildren, David Clayton Cruise III and Louise Hart Cruise, both of Lexington; Mrs. Peggy Whittle McDaniel, Boas, Ala.; Miss Andrea Katherine Whittle, both of Montgomery, Ala.; and a nephew, Wilson Cruise, Lexington.
The body was taken to the W.R. Milward Mortuary - Broadway.
