Rites Monday for Hoel, Pioneer Real Estate Man
Funeral services will be held Monday for Carroll Louis Hoel, 62, pioneer Hollywood real estate broker who died at his home, 245 S. Rossmore Ave., yesterday.
A native of Hamilton, O., and a graduate of Miami University of Oxford, O. Mr. Hoel had been a Hollywood businessman for the past 38 years.
His firm, the William E. and Carroll L. Hoel Central Realty Co. was the first such company on Hollywood Blvd.
At one time the Hoel family home was located on the present site of the Pantages Bldg.
He is survived by his widow, A. Alice Hoel, and a sister, Mrs. Steele Poague.
The services Monday will be held in the Utter-McKinley-Strother Hollywood Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Cleveland Kleinhauer, pastor of the Hollywood-Beverly Christian Church, will officiate. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
