Wildcats Lose to Centre Five, 29-21
DANVILLE, Ky., Jan. 17 -- Turning loose a fierce bombardment of floor work which held the Wildcats baffled. Centre College, in its own gymnasium here tonight, made four field goals in the last two minutes of play, and defeated the University of Kentucky basketball collection 29 to 21. The Wildcats were powerless to check the Centre counterattack, which smashed into smitherins a 21 to 21 tie which seemed unbreakable.
Thomas at center and Bastin at guard did shining work on the offense for the Wildcats. Centre's Colonels were led in the eleventh hour attack by Bell, Diddle and Tate.
