Death Claims Howard Guyn
Succumbs to Heart Attack at Home
A heart attack suffered late yesterday afternoon while he was leaving the courthouse wehre he had been serving on a petit jury proved fatal at 10:20 o'clock last night to Howard Guyn, 55, president of the Louis des Cognets and Company. Death came to Mr. Guyn who had been in ill health for about a year, at his home at 210 Catalpa Road.
Born in Woodford County, Mr. Guyn was a son of Mrs. Katherine Davenport Guyn and the late Joel White Guyn. He had been a resident of Lexington for the past 40 years. He received his education in the public schools of Lexington and attended Transylvania College.
Mr. Guyn was a member of Central Christian Church, Merrick Lodge I.O.O.F. , the Pyramid Club and the Lexington Board of Commerce.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lora Anderson Guyn; three brothers, J. White Guyn of Lexington and John and Leslie Guyn of Alberta, Canada, and several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the W.R. Milward Mortuary.
