Tigers Defeat U.K. Wildcats
GEORGETOWN, Ky., Feb. 15 -- Georgetown College Friday night took the scalp of the Kentucky University in a well contested game of basket ball by the score of 22 to 18. The game was featured with some spectacular shooting and defense on both sides was of the "never-give-up" fashion. At the end of the first half of the contest the Tigers held the university lads 15 to 12. Getting their second wind, the Wildcats started out strong in the second half, but were outclassed in the final minutes of the play by the dazzling team work of the Georgetown quintet.
Georgetown's line-up were: Dean and Adams, forwards; Jennings, center, and Black and Ogden, guards.
The Kentucky University was represented by Thomas and Zerfoss, forwards; Everett, center and Dishman and Burnham, guards. The game was played in 20 minute halves. Referee, Broadhead.
