Obituary - George E. Zerfoss Dies in Nashville, Lexington Leader (September 1, 1950)
Mr. Zerfoss spent his boyhood and youth in Lexington, where his father was prominent for his work in the YMCA. His mother, the late Elizabeth Peak Zerfoss, was a sister of D.H. Peak, 336 Linden Walk, former business manager of the University of Kentucky.
He was a native of Bedford, Ky., and an engineering graduate of the University. He also held a master's degree in agriculture engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and he was a research engineer with the TVA at Knoxville, Tennessee.
Mr. Zerfoss is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marguerite King Zerfoss, and three children, Carol, Frank and Andres Zerfoss, all of Sebree, and two brothers, Dr. Karl P. Zerfoss, Chicago, and Dr. Tom B. Zerfoss, Nashville.
