Obituary - EX-UK BASKETBALL PLAYER TROTT, Lexington Herald-Leader (April 28, 1991) by Staff

William D. Trott, one of the first men to play basketball under Adolph Rupp at the University of Kentucky, died Tuesday at his home in Evansville, Ind. He was 86.

Mr. Trott received his bachelor's and master's degrees from UK and was a basketball letterman in 1931. He played in 1930-31, Rupp's first season at UK, with a team that went 15-3.

His wife, Ruth Trott, survives, as do two sons, Steven Trott of Memphis, Tenn., and David Trott of Dallas.

Mr. Trott's funeral was held Friday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel in Evansville. The family suggests memorial contributions to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
