Obituary - Morgan, Miami Herald (February 21, 1984)
Ralph R. 92, a resident of Coral Gables since 1956 from Louisville, KY. died Feb 20, 1984. A graduate of the U of KY in 1915 and then served in WWI as a 2nd Lt.
He was an agent for the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. in Louisville for 40 years. He served as president of the Kentucky Society of the S.A.R. and traced his ancestry back to David Ramsey, a president of the Continental Congress and signer of the Declaration of Independence.
He was a deacon of the Baptist Church for 50 years. A member of University Baptist, the Knights Templar and the Grand Commandery of Kentucky.
Survived by his wife, Lila Estes; son Dr. Robert F. Morgan, of New Braunfels, TX; daughter, Mrs. John Goernflo, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Repose 7-0 pm Wednesday. Service 2 pm Thursday at Van Orsdel Coral Gables Chapel, 4600 SW 8 St. Burial in Lebanon, KY.
The family suggests memorials to the Bunding Fund of University Baptist Church.
