Obituary - WILLIAM DOUGLAS KLEISER DIES AT 79 , Lexington Herald-Leader (February 29, 1988) by Staff
Kleiser, of 2121 Nicholasville Road, owned the company for many years and sold it in the 1970s. Before moving to Lexington, he was the agriculture agent in Greenup and Owen counties. A 1932 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Kleiser was a member of the late Adolph Rupp's first basketball team at UK.
He was a member of the Lexington Optimistic Club, Lexington Country Club and Lexington Salesman Club.
During World War II he was a lieutenant colonel in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Louise Campbell Kleiser; a brother, R. Hite Kleiser of Centerville, Ohio; and a nephew.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday a W.R. Milward Mortuary -- Broadway. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
