WILDCATS LOSE TO TENNESSEE
Rally of Kentucky Five is Short and Volunteers Win Game by Five Point Margin, 19 to 14
JENKINS, PHIPPS ARE STARS
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 21 (AP) -- University of Tennessee piled up a 13 point lead over University of Kentucky here tonight and despite a strong comeback on the part of the Wildcats in the closing half, defeated the Lexington team, 19 to 14.
Kentucky missed many close shots and resorted to long range shelling of the basket for the most part. Jenkins and Phipps were the stars for the visitors, while Butcher and Shultz shone brightest for the Volunteers.
