BASKET BALL
CHRIST CHURCH CINCINNATI TEAM, DEFEATS STATE COLLEGE - SCORE 38 TO 24
The strong basket ball team from Christ Church, Cincinnati, defeated the State College cadets in a clean game Saturday afternoon in the college gymnasium. The game began at 3 o'clock and at the end of the first half it seemed as if the cadet lads would have a walkover. The cadets were just in the right mood for playing, and at the end of the first half the score stood 17 to 11 in their favor. But the visitors had been spending the greater part of the first half in locating the goal, and in the second half they showed up much better, making the score 38 to 24 in their favor.
To Thomas Bryant, of State's team, belongs first honor in the game, followed closely by Wilson and Baer. A.L. Donan, who was sent in for a trial game, showed up well.
Hogrebe played the star game for the visitors. Box and Blanchard divided honors about equally. A most commendable feature of the game was the impartial decisions rendered by the referee and umpire.
