Ex-Dogs Coach Ken Rosemond Buried
Former University of Georgia basketball coach Ken Rosemond was buried at Hillsborough Town Cemetery in North Carolina on Monday.
Rosemond, who coached the Bulldogs from 1965-73, died in Durham, N.C., on Saturday. He was 62.
Rosemond's teams produced a 92-111 record during his seasons in Athens, including a 17-8 record in 1967-68 - at the time Georgia's best record in 30 years.
From 1968-70, Rosemond produced consecutive winning seasons, the first such string at Georgia in 20 years.
Rosemond played for two years under then-Tar Heels coach Frank McGuire and was a member of the 1957 North Carolina team which finished 32-0 and won the NCAA championship.
