Fred W. Trenkle
Fred W. Trenkle, 69, Naples, Fla., formerly of Bloomington, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday (March 20, 1984) at Naples Community Hospital.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Main Memorial Home, Bloomington, and at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity church, Bloomington, the Rev. Gerald Ward officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Mr. Trenkle was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Bloomington, a son of Fred W. and Agnes S. Sheahan Trenkle Sr. He married Lois Anderson, who died in 1981. He married Elizabeth Lee Dec. 10, 1983. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Henry "Hank" and Tim, both of Chicago; a brother, Edwin Naples, three sisters, Mary Trenkle, Chicago; Martha Lee, Wood Dale; and Geraldine Scott, Chapel Hill, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Trenkle worked for several meat packing companies in the Chicago area. He retired as president of Agar Meat Packing Co., Chicago, in 1978 after 15 years with the firm.
He was a graduate of Holy Trinity High School, Bloomington, and a 1939 graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, where he was captain of the basketball team.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Naples, and a former member of Holy Trinity Church.
