DIEHL, Charles H. of Arlington and Somerville. October 31, 2015. Devoted son of the late Evelyn and Theodore Diehl. Beloeved partner of the late Ann McCoubrey. Loving brother of Janet Abbey and her husband Tom of TX, Robert Diehla nd wife Juen of Franklin, Helen Rigas of Arlington, and the late Walter Diehl, Clara Johanson, Maryann Lee, and Margaret Watts. Also survive by many nieces and nephews.
Charles was a graduate of Somerville High and Northeastern University, WWII and Korean Navy Veteran. He was a former teacher and retired as Asst. Chief Probation Officer in the Somerville District Court System. He enjoyed his distinguished career as a prominent local and national basketball official.
Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt. 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) Arlington on Friday at 9 am. Funeral mass in St. Catherine's Church, Somerville on Friday at 10 am. relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
