ALLEN, CHARLES E.
Charles E. Allen, of Westchester, formerly of River Forest, age 84; beloved husband of the late Edith Ann; loving father of William (Karen) Allen and Roberta (Richard) Walsh; proud grandfather of Natalie Walsh, Ricky Walsh, and Margaret Allen.
Charles was a 1940 graduate of Austin High School where he was captain of the basketball team. He was a 1945 graduate of DePaul where he played under Ray Meyer and entered into their Hall of Fame. Big Ten basketball referee from 1956-1977.
Member and past president of the Riverside Country Club. Longtime owner of Charles Allen & Assoc. in River Forest.
Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westcheser Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Road, Westchester (2 blocks W. of Mannheim Road) on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral Mass 11:30 a.m. at Divine Providence Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
