ROBERT P. FORSYTHE
BELTON, Ky. - Robert P. Forsythe, 56, of Belton, was found dead at his home Friday. He died of a self-infliceted gunshot wound, according to Charles Nelson, Muhlenberg County coroner.
He recently resigned as superintendent of the Dawson Springs School System, citing ill health. He formerly served as superintendent of the Muhlenberg County School System, Greenville Independent School System and the Caldwell County School System.
Surviving are his wife, Clara Forsythe, of Belton and two sons, Preston Forsythe and Noel Forsythe.
The body was removed to the Gary Funeral Home, Greenville.
