Biography - Findagrave (November 26, 2000)
Dad was inducted into the Butler County Sport Hall of Fame. There were ten (10) new inductees into the class of 2000. Darwin Brown was one of the new members and was one of many officials that was part of dads career in both the Mid American and Big Ten Conferences. Though dad died in 1997, mom accepted his plaque from Joe Nuxhall on his behave. In 2010, Beuhl was inducted into the Ohio Hall of Fame for Officials.
From the Hamilton Journal News: Louise Roach, the wife of the longtime basketball referee from Seven Mile, noted that her late husband also was an outstanding athlete. When Seven Mile High School built a new football stadium, in fact it was Beuhl Roach who scored the first touchdown.
The late Beuhl Roach from Seven Mile participated in football, basketball and baseball. He was one of the most popular residents of the county and made his name and reputation in officiating. He worked the Ohio High School basketball and football playoffs and officiated Mid-American Conference, Big Ten Conference and NCAA basketball games from 1982 - 1984. He also was involved with local softball as manager of the powerful Wilsman Truckers, who won the state title in 1961.
