BASKET BALL
K.U. SCORES A DOUBLE VICTORY OVER THE CADETS - SCORE WERE 22 TO 1 AND 9 TO 6
The Kentucky University basket ball players won a double victory Saturday night over the State College squad, the Crimson first and second teams winning by scores of 22 to 1 and 9 to 6 respectively.
The games were played in the K.U. gymnasium and were replete with fouls and loose playing. The first teams met first and the game between the second teams followed. The Blue and White varsity team showed a decided falling off from the form displayed in previous contests and lacked speed and team work. One fact that made goal throwing for them difficult was the arrangement of the baskets, which were placed differently from those in their own gymnasium.
The Crimsons, on the other hand, put up a better game than they have heretofore shown at any time this season. Their team work was excellent and the goal throwing of Wallace was very accurate. Captain Hayden was kept out of the game by an injury and Harbison, who took his place, played a great game. The score at the end of the first half was 8 to 1.
The State College second team displayed better team work than the Crimsons, but the latter out-weighed them. The score at the end of the first half was 7 to 0 in favor of K.U.
