John E. Morris
John . Morris, 79, 2530 W. White River Blvd., died Monday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis, following a brief illness.
Born in Sexton, Ky., he graduated from the University of Kentucky and had worked in real estate before moving to Muncie in 1967.
Mr. Morris worked 19 years for Plaza Liquors of Muncie, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mildred Stewart Morris; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Karol S.) Silvers, Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Philip (Lisa K.) Carter, Muncie; a brother, Jimmy Morris, Lexington Ky.; and two granddaughters, Sara Carter, Muncie, and Elizabeth Slvers, Miami.Fla.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Lexington, Ky. There will be no local services or visitation. Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel is handling local arrangements.
