Obituary - John S. Crosthwaite, Bridgeport (CT) Telegram (September 13, 1971)
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Services for John S. Crosthwaite, Sr., 83, of 344 Madison Place, Lexington, formerly of Bridgeport, Conn., who died Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital will take place tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the Caruthers Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Born in Versailles, Ky., Mr. Crosthwaite resided in Lexington 19 years. He was a retired engineer for General Electric. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a member of the K-Man's association, the Veterans' association 78th division, and was a Kentucky colonel. He also served with the U.S. Army in World War I.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mildred McCaul Crosthwaite; a son, John S. Crosthwaite, Jr., of St. Petersburg Fla., and two grandchildren.
