P.R. Jones
Professor P.R. Jones, 85, 812 Main Street, Williamsburg, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday in the SEK Baptist Hospital.
He was a former dean and former basketball and football coach at Cumberland College and taught in the Science Department at the college for 50 years. He taught the Men's Bible Class at the First Baptist Church for 30 years; was a member of Williamsburg Lodge 490, F & AM, and a member of the Williamsburg Rotary Club.
He is survived by three cousins; Miss Elizabeth Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Butcher, Newark, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Breymair, Granville, Ohio.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Robert L. Palmer and Dr. J.M. Boswell. Burial will be in the Whitley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Elmer Prewitt, David N. Huff, Kenneth Show, Sam Davenport, Prof. Ed Shields, and Herbert Steeley.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
