Obituary - David J. Yates
David J. Yates of Delray Beach and formerly of Pensacola, died at his Delray Beach home Friday.
Mr. Yates was the son-in-law of Mrs. Milton Clark of this city and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eulalie Clark Yates and children, David, Jr., East Orange, N.J., Milton Clark, Dedham, Mass., Albert and Mary Lee Yates of Delray Beach, three brothers, Dr. Robert Yates, Dr. Daniel Yates, Dr. Joseph Yates, all of Philadelphia.
Mr. Yates formerly was safety engineer of the Naval Air station and was active in Red Cross safety work in this area for several years and at the time of his death he was manager of the Delray Beach recreation center.
The body will arrive in Pensacola Monday morning and services will be held Tuesday morning in Fisher-Pou chapel at 8:45 and in St. Michaels Catholic Church a 9 a.m. with Msgr. William Cusick saying Mass.
Pallbearers will be: Honorary W.H. Watson, James C. Watson, Joseph F. Quina, T.W. Saltmarsh, J.A. Wright and Addison Mead, Sr.
Active: James B. Watson, Brent Watson, John L. Reese, J. Quina, Ignatius Quina, Francis O'Conor, Boert Egelhoff and Walker Willis, Jr.
Burial will be in St. Michaels cemetery with Fisher-Pou directing.
