Carroll KiteCarroll Kite, 55, 107 Dogwood Lane, died Saturday, March 16, 1996, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Kite was a Carter County native and a son of Charlene Collins Kite, Johnson City, and the late Ed Kite.
He was a retired employee of Sprint-United Telephone and was an official in the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association who worked basketball and football games for 23 years.
Mr. Kite was a 1958 graduate of Happy Valley High School, Elizabethton.
He was a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, Carolina Conference, Tennessee-Virginia Athletic Conference, Tennessee Junior College Athletic Association and South Atlantic Football Conference.
Mr. Kite was an active member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church and had served as deacon and Sunday school director.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Brenda Smithey Kite; one son, Tracy Eric Kite, Atlanta; one sister, Yvonne Hartsook, Johnson City; one niece; and one nephew.
