DUKE ELMINATES GEORGIA IN S.C. BASKET TOURNEY
. . . The second round of the tournament found Georgia battling against the Wildcats of Kentucky, but after a hard fight the Kentuckians fell victims to the Red and Black, 26-24.
The Bulldog victory was due largely to Sandford Sanford, Georgia's sophomore center who performed so effectively against the Wildcats. He got twelve points in addition to playing a splendid floor game. The game was in doubt until the final whistle blew and the Georgians had to put up a real fight in order to win a victory. . . .
