Tennessee Repeats Friday Victory with Superior Speed and Skill

Scores Hug During Entire Game But Fighters Lose

Tennessee put ditto marks under the Friday night game yester evening in the second indoor football game against the Wildcats. The score last night was 22 to 19, being one point less for each team than that of the night before.

Tigert's savage felines fought even harder than the night before but superior speed and skill in shooting the pumpkin-shaped cause of the trouble into the basket counted for the result. The scores hugged each other all the way. When the first half of the fight was over and the battlers took a breathing spell, it was fifty-fifty who would win. The score was 10 to 8 against Kentucky, but the Kentucky crew was pulling hard.

Rodes and Schrader put the kibosh on the machinations that the invaders expected to put over in the first half. They were among those present in all the wrestling bouts that came into notice. Rodes used the diving tackle, barred from football, but allowed on the hardwood floor to great advantage, also the "cross-eyed" pass. Schrader was good on the goal shooting, but only got three chances.

Captain "Boo" Ireland, looking anything but dangerous, went on high gear all through the game. In the middle of the last half he tied the score by four field goals in a row, tossing them in as easy as dirt. It was as lucky to Kentucky as rolling a natural seven on your last two bits. Things had been looking cheerless until "Boo" broke loose.

As on last night Alvin Thompson started in at center. Pat Campbell soon went in, taking Longsworth's place. "Pug" went to center.

Tennessee started off a both-forwards-back formation that succeeded in bunching the team for passing.

Davidson did some daring deeds that counted much for the Terrors from Tennessee. Reeder showed the stuff that has gained him a big name in the south.

WILDCATS VS. TENNESSEE

The Wildcats of the University of Kentucky will meet the Volunteers of Tennessee tonight in the university gymnasium in the second test of their series of basket ball games.

The defeat administered the local quintet Friday night by the Tennesseans has served to put them on edge for the game tonight, and with the sounding of the referee's whistle at 8 o'clock are expected to start a battle royal that will even the series.

Director of Athletics J.J. Tigert will present practically the same fighting force tonight as played Friday night.
