Allen, George Lincoln, of Nashville, formerly of Tullahoma, Tennessee, a former assistant football coach, head basketball coach, and head track coach at Sewanee from 1931 to 1939; on September 15, 1987.
A native of St. Louis, he was a graduate of the University of Missouri. During World War II, he was a supervisor for the American Red Cross for three years, serving in Africa, England and France.
Following the war he was employed for many years as a consultant with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. His survivors include his widow, Virginia Whetton Lincoln.
