Obituary - Wm. W. "Bill" White, Conroe (TX) Courier (February 22, 2007)
Wm. W. "Bill" White, 88, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away at Arlington Memorial Hospital on Feb. 20, 2007. Celebration of Life: 11 AM, Saturday, Feb. 24th at Conroe Bible Church, Pastor Dave Schneider will preside. Bill was born 09/15/18 in Tyrone, Kentucky to Wesley and Maggie Mae White. He is preceded in death by his siblings. Bill earned a BA degree at the University of Kentucky while playing forward on their basketball team from 1939 to 1942. He served in the European theater during WW II in the Air Force and he worked in marketing management for 29 years with Gulf Oil Corporation. Bill retired in 1974 to River Plantation and there enjoyed many years of friends and golfing. He loved volunteering as "Bingo Bill" at MCH and he also enjoyed being a member of the Ukulele Band at First Baptist Church, Conroe. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Norma; his son, Norm, and his wife, Lina; granddaughter Deb and husband Win and great-granddaughter, Maddie; grandson Jeff; and his daughter, Jennifer; and nieces and nephew. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Conroe Bible Church for their building program.
