Obituary - Deaths - Augustus J. Weisenberger, Woodford Sun (January 20, 1955)
He received his early education in the schools of Midway and was graduated from the College of Engineering at the University of Ky. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi; honoring engineering fraternity. Mr. Weisenberger was past president of the Kentucky Miller's Association, a past president and charter member of the Midway Lions Club, a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of Man O'War Post No. 8, Lexington and a member of Forty and Eight of the Legion. He was an officer in the Lexington Credit Men's Association and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Georgetown.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise Egalite Weisenberger; four daughters, Mrs. Elmond Martin of Lexington; Mrs. C.E. Woeber of Springfield, Ohio; Mrs. William Bright of Shreveport, La.; Mrs. Don P. Bozarth of National City California and one son, Philip J. Weisenberger of Midway, his step-mother, Mrs. Philip Weisenberger Sr. of Midway and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Lexington. The Rev. Jerome Heuerman, past of St. John's Church officiated. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. The casket bearers were Tom Roach, Milton Davis, John Wehrle, Andrew Hagan, James Barton and Godfrey Wallace.
