Obituary - W. H. SPICER BANK OFFICIAL IS DEAD AT 48, Chicago Tribune (February 14, 1965)
William H. Spicer, 48, of 650 S. Edgewood Av., La Grange, executive vice president of the La Grange Federal Savings and Loan association, died yesterday in Community Memorial Hospital, La Grange. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at 1025 W. 55th St., La Grange.
Mr. Spicer was a lieutenant in the Navy in World War II, commanding an infantry landing craft in several invasions in the Pacific.
He is survived by his widow, Anne; four daughters, Sally, Molly, Jennifer, and Mary Cecilia; three sons, William Jr., Thomas, and John; his mother, Mrs. Nettie Spicer, of Lexington, Ky.; three sisters; and a brother.
