Obituary - Former UK Professor Brinkley Barnett Dies, Lexington Herald (July 25, 1977)
Before retiring in 1959, he was a professor of engineering and an assistant professor of electrical engineering.
A 1913 graduate of UK, Barnett also studied at the University of Chicago and California Institute of Technology.
He enlisted in the United State Marine Corps June 7, 1918 and saw action in France during World War I.
Barnett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Theresa Kinney Barnett, 309 Irvine Road.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Somerset Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today at Aaron Smith Funeral Home.
