'Scrappy' O'Sullivan Dies; Was a Civic Leader Here
Maurice M. "Scrappy" O'Sullivan, retired vice president of Southland Coffee Co., died Tuesday at his home, 3497 Piedmont Road NE.
Mr. O'Sullivan was a member of several Atlanta civic organizations, including the Atlanta Boys Club, Atlanta Convention Bureau and the Atlanta Kiwanis Club. A native Atlantan, he attended Georgia Tech and was a charter member of American Legion Post 134.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral of Christ the King. Monsignor John Stapleton will officiate with burial in Westview Cemetery. Survivors include the widow, the former Evelyn Holcombe, a daughter and a son.
