BEAR, ROGER JONES
PULASKI - Roger Jones Bear died Wednesday in the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Salem. He was a graduate of Staunton Military Academy and Washington & Lee University. He was a former resident of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was engineer on construction of the Cincinnati Union Terminal. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon and Church treasurer.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Moore Bear; two sons, Roger J. Bear, Jr., Toledo, Ohio; James C. Bear, Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. C.E. Aulick, Richmond, Va.; 4 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. J. Brett Fenwick officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the charity of choice. Friends may call Friday at Stevens.
