Obituary - Louisville Courier-Journal (April 25, 1991)
Raymond A. "Polly" Kraesig, 81, died Wednesday at Hillcreek Manor Nursing Home.
He was a retired payroll supervisor for American Standard, where he had worked 40 years. He also officiated football and basketball for 21 years, was president of Kentuckiana Football Officials Association and was inducted into Kentucky Football Officials Hall of Fame. He was a member of Woodhaven Country Club and Woodmen of the World.
Survivors: his wife, the former York Bennett; a son, Charles F. Kraesig of Tuscon, Ariz.; a daugther, Betty Echsner; a brother, Leo Kraesig; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 1816 Rangeland Road. Burial: Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation: Ratterman's Bardstown Road, 3800 Bardstown Road, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
