Lee W. Sinclair Dies at Age 49
Bank Cashier Was High in Masonry
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind., Oct. 20 - Lee W. Sinclair, 49, assistant cashier of the First National Bank here and one of Crawfordsville's most widely known young business men, died at his home Thursday night of heart disease.
Mr. Sinclair was the worshipful master of Montgomery Masonic Lodge and presided at the meetings last May in connection with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the lodge.
He was also in charge of the pay roll deduction division of the Montgomery county war fund committee, treasurer of the city park board, the Crawfordsville Dramatic Club, and a former treasurer of the Democratic county central committee.
Talented as a musician, Mr. Sinclair for a number of years conducted a dance orchestra that was popular in college and high school circles, and was a forward on the state championship basketball team at Wingate of 1914.
Later years he became prominent as a basketball referee. He attended Purdue University following his graduation from Wingate High School. He was a member of the Methodist church at Wingate.
The widow, a daughter, a brother and two sisters survive.
