WILLIAM (CHUCK) SOLODARE, a colorful basketball official in the tradition of the late PAT KENNEDY, died from cancer in Newark recently. He was 68.
Solodare umpired in the International Baseball League and refereed in the old American Basketball League as well as in college ball, the NBA and the old Penn State League in this area.
