John Manogue Crowley
John Manogue "Botts" Crowley, the man responsible for the uniforms of many major league baseball players for more than 40 years, died Sunday of a lengthy illness.
Mr. Crowley, 82, was living at the Otterbein Home in Lebanon at the time of his death.
Mr. Crowley worked for McGregor Sporting Goods in charge of the baseball uniforms department and would visit major league training camps every spring.
He leaves his wife, Mary Price Crowley; a daughter, Patti Creedy, and one grandchild.
Services were today at the Otterbein Home Chapel. There is no visitation or memorials. Vielhauer-Clepper Funeral Home handled arrangements.
