Services Are Slated for Russell Easton; Noted Civil Engineer
Services for Russell M. Easton, widely known civil engineer who died late Thursday at Bethesda Hospital, will be held at 3:30 Monday at the Charles A. Miller & Sons funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Grove.
Mr. Easton, who was 62 years old, was active in Masonic circles and a noted athlete during his college days at the University of Cincinnati. He lived at 3836 Zinsle Ave., Kennedy Heights.
A native Cincinnatian, Mr. Easton was chief engineer for the Cincinnati building department from 1919 until 1922, later serving as construction superintendent and designing engineer for various local firms. In 1929 he became associated with the E.A. Kinsey Co., 335 W. Fourth St., in charge of supply sales, the post he held at the time of his death. He held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Engineer Reserves.
Mr. Easton was a member of Walnut Hills Lodge of Masons, Knights Templars, Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters, Oola Kahn Grotto, State of Ohio Board of Registration, Professional Engineers and Surveyors, "C" Club, University of Cincinnati; Robert E. Bentley Post, American Legion; First Presbyterian Church, Walnut Hills, and the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
His widow, Mrs. Marian Pitser Easton; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Buckhalter, Fairfield, Conn., and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Linda LiBrize of the home address, survive him.
