Coach we know you quietly joined your wife, Lillian, in the eternal peace & grace of God's hand February 16, 1992. You have been gone from us a year now, but we won't be forgetting very soon.
Let us review your track record. After graduating from Texas Tech in 1925, you coached at Slaton High School and later at Trinidad Colorado High School before coming to Texas Wesleyan in 1937, where you turned out wonders in football and basketball until 1943, and the on to West Texas State where you did more o the same until 1957. Winning percentage was .738 which was 8th best among major college coaches.
Your inspiration and boundless energy is still a part of us as we observe the first anniversary of your demise.
