Obituary - Arlan K. "Bud" King, Indianapolis Star (April 13, 2021)
RUSHVILLE - Arlan K. "Bud" King, 90, of Rushville, passed away April 10, 2021 in Rushville. He was born April 11, 1930 in Jefferson County to Homer R. and Telma (Stucker) King. Bud was a 1948 graduate of Saluda High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree in education from Hanover College in 1953. He was in Phi Gamma Delta fraternity while at Hanover. He earned his Master's degree in 1960 fro Indiana University. Bud was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Army from 1953-1955. He married Marie (Williams) Brammer on December 26, 1964 and she survives.
Bud was a lifetime educator. He was a teacher and coach for 39 years.
He is survived by his wife; Marie, of Rushville, his sons; Scott Brammer of Rushville and Tom Brammer of New Castle, a brother; Donald Jo (Betty) King of Franklin, granddaughters; Christy (Bruce) Angle of Rush County, Heidi (Tom) Hodges of Knoxville, TN and Jessee (Jon) Brammer-McCutchen of Rush County, 9 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; William "Clark" Brammer, a brother; Delbert O. King & his wife Kathleen, a sister; Gloria King and great niece; Kylie Kireta.
Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 15, 2021 in the Center Christian Curch, 9112 N. 50 W. Knightstown, IN. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the church on Wednesday, April 14 from 4-8 p.m.. Rev. Bill Worrell will preside.
