Obituary - Former Bourbon Man Dies at Texas Home, Louisville Courier-Journal (August 28, 1928)
Mr. Kemper was a civil engineer in the employ of a large construction company and left Bourbon County for Texas about eight years ago. He was a graduate of the Millersburg Military Institute and of the University of Kentucky. For a few terms he was a member of the faculty of M.M.I.
Mr. Kemper is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Butler Kemper; two sons, Priest Kemper, Jr., and James Kemper: a brother, Hulen Kemper, Texas, and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Kemper Hicks and Miss Emma Kemper, both of Lexington. The body is expected to be brought here tomorrow.
