Seth Hadley, Farmer, Livestock Judge Dies
Danville, Ind. - Funeral services for Seth T. Hadley, 76 years old, a Hendricks County farmer and judge at livestock shows at many state fairs, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hadley Friends Church. Burial will be in Hadley Cemetery.
Mr. Hadley died Monday at his home, R.R. 3, Danville.
He was graduated from the Friends Academy at Plainfield and Rose Polytechnic Institute with a degree in electrical engineering.
A lifelong farmer, he had been a livestock judge at many state fairs all over the country and at the International Livestock Exposition at Chicago.
Mr. Hadley had been president many years of the National Hampshire Swine Registry and was a founder of the Independent Milk Producers Association. He was a member of the Hadley Friends Meeting.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nelle Hadley; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Wicker, R.R. 3, Danville, and Mrs. Walter C. Huffman of Philadelphia, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
